Abode Dances Academy is one of the leading dance institutions in Fort Mill. Our mission is to provide an enriching dance education for dancers ages 3 and up. We believe in making every dancer feel at home. We provide a unique dance experience by putting studio level dancers ages 6 and up and company dancers in technique classes together based on their skill level rather than grouping our classes by age.
Located in the town of Fort Mill, Abode Dance Academy, formerly known as Encore Dance Studio, has been a trusted local dance company since June 2019.
We have dancers come to us from Tega Cay, Charlotte, Lake Wylie, Steele Creek, Baxter Village, and Rock Hill.
To ensure classes are suitable for those who attend, we offer a range of options across styles and levels. Whether you are looking for a fun, energetic activity for your child, they are a beginner just starting out, or your dancer is wanting to train at a pre-professional level. Abode Dance Academy has a class for them.

Our philosophy is that dancers with the same skill levels will progress with more consistency. Each child is challenged but not overwhelmed as they work to reach their goals. At Abode we believe in making dance fun, our fresh approach to dance class makes our students excited to come to dance every week.
Our vision is to not only create great dancers, but to also create good people. We believe there is more to dance than just steps, there are life lessons. We have witnessed first hand how dance can build character, confidence, and friendships.

The Abode Dance Academy team of accredited and friendly dance instructors have a range of skills they can share with our students.
A Vermont native, Holly has over 25 years of dance experience and is well versed in all styles of dance and gymnastics. She has trained with renowned instructors such as Jill Silverman, Ricardo Foster Jr., Donlin Foreman, and Charlie Holbrook. Her education includes an associate degree in arts majoring in dance from Dean College in Franklin Massachusetts, FLYAROO Fitness instructor certification, Rhythm Works Integrative Dance instructor certification, Tumbling Effects instructor certification, Progressive Ballet Technique instructor certification, Acrobatics Arts Preschool Acro Dance instructor certification receiving a 100 on her exam, and Acrobatic Arts Module One instructor certification receiving a 100 on her exam. Holly is a member of Dance Studio Owners Association Inner Circle.
Holly is the proud owner of Abode Dance Academy. At the end of summer 2022 Holly thought it was time for a change and rebranded the studio making the name match the studio values. Holly changed the name of the studio from Encore Dance Studio to Abode Dance Academy. She is so excited for this rebrand and can't wait to welcome so many dancers for many years to come into the Abode Dance family where every dancer feels at home!
